The Regional Association for Rural Development will organize between 20th - 26th of June 2011 a social campaign "SMILE FOR TOMORROW", in TG Jiu.
During Cristmas time ARDR have been already organize social campaign adressed to 10 families with limited material opportunities in rural areas.
The campaign "SMILE FOR TOMORROW" organize by EVS - volunteers from project W.A.V.E. During all week from 20th until 26th of June perticipants will collect food, money and other usefull stuff (clouth, blanket, toys, books ect.) for families with limited material opportunities in rural areas (Musetesti, Novaci, Rovinari, Ticleni, Tg Carbunesti, Tismana). You can find participants in centr of TG JIU near big supermarket (VEL PITAR) and PIATA CENTRALA and make your impact, even small impact from each person matter, because every penny counts.
Everyone can help in so many ways. Even the smallest effort counts and that can be achieved with the following steps: volunteer, donate and fundraise. Volunteering is the easiest way to give your time to another person in need. That is why we invite you to join us in social campain "SILE FOR TOMORROW" and be part of our team and make small changes in life other people... What we expect from you? - Promote or make translation of the campaign. So please look also for friends or other interested people in your community or Tg Jiu, who could help us during this week. Each participant will receive a badge and a wonderful t-shirt to be visible as a volunteer of this activity. read less

The partner in the Youth Empowerment Network, from Peru, started in January a series of actions with the purpose of promoting YEP and EVS among organizations working in the youth field. Jovenes de Buena Voluntad had a structured and consistent work, unfolding until March in the region of Ventanilla-Lima, as following: meetings with 20 organisations with the purpose of informing them about YEP and the opportunity that this programme is offering by creating a network of organizations in the framework of EVS; organizing field visits with the purpose of knowing each organization’s activity; organizing a common meeting for the organizations to help them know each other; filling in some forms, to define the volunteer’s activities.
Other actions of great impact in promoting YEP and EVS and attracting partners, held in the month of March, were: participating at a round table on volunteering organized by the United Nations in Peru, together with the most well known organization in the country; presentation of YEP during a meeting with the president of the National Youth Council which is an organism belonging to the government; making a presentation of YEP for REDAFI, which is a network of organizations in the region of South America, implying countries like Peru, Chile, Uruguay, Brazilia. My name is Teona,I am 20 years old,I am from Georgia,maybe you wonder why I am here yes? Ok I will tell you, I came here and became a volunteer because I want to change my life and I want to find myself in foreign country where you are independent,also to be a volunteer is a big experience to learn how to communicate with foreigners,find out a lot about foreign cultures and develop your personality.
The main reason is that I like changes in my life and I like when I am crazy…(but all the time I am crazy..:D)
